Il nuovo complesso residenziale è composto da tre corpi disposti in un grande spazio a verde parallelamente a via Erodoto; essi costituiscono una sorta di “cerniera” tra un’edilizia bassa e frammentata ad ovest e gli edifici più alti ad est. Un evidente tentativo di ricucitura urbana tra i frontespizi ciechi dei piccoli edifici di via Licurgo e le alte costruzioni di viale Monza in grado di suggerire gli assi di giacitura dei fabbricati che dal fronte di via Erodoto si dispongono a intervalli regolari sul lotto. Sul fronte verso via Erodoto le unità a piano terra sono arretrate e protette dal fronte stradale con la creazione di spazi a verde e logge chiuse da una recinzione. Su via Erodoto, fronte che prospetta sul grande parco pubblico attrezzato, sono collocati l’accesso carrabile e quelli pedonali da cui partono i tracciati che disegnano l’interno del complesso. In particolare, il percorso principale a fianco del passo carraio, dove sarà possibile collocare un servizio di portierato, diviene elemento caratterizzante dell’intervento, un asse che raccorda ed evidenzia le differenti altezze dei fabbricati, il punto d’incontro tra i distinti tessuti edilizi, il luogo di demarcazione dove è esplicitata la volontà progettuale, oltre ad essere il tracciato che raggiunge e collega tutte le porzioni edificate fino alla grande scala che sul fondo del lotto scende ad un grande spazio comune lasciato alla collettività. I volumi che compongono il complesso edilizio sono piuttosto semplici, caratterizzati da una scelta monocromatica grigio chiara di tutte le sue componenti, ovvero intonaco, serramenti, tapparelle, soglie, pavimentazioni, parti metalliche e coperture ad eccezione del grande percorso di collegamento che dall’ingresso principale fino alla scala sul fondo del lotto è, per contrasto, di un colore giallo intenso. Ancora una volta questa scelta ribadisce una precisa volontà, rafforza il progetto e la sua percezione per la comunità.

The new residential complex is composed of three bodies arranged in a large green space parallel to via Erodoto; they form a sort of “hinge” between a low and fragmented building stock to the west and the taller buildings to the east. The volumes are composed in order to obtain an urban reconnection between the blind frontispieces of the small buildings on Via Licurgo and the tall buildings on Viale Monza capable of suggesting the layout axes of the buildings that from the front of Via Erodoto are arranged at regular intervals. On the front facing via Erodoto, the ground-floor units are set back and protected from the street by the creation of green spaces and loggias enclosed by a fence. On via Erodoto, the front facing the large equipped public park, are located the driveway and pedestrian accesses from which the paths that draw the interior of the complex start. In particular, the main path next to the driveway, where it is placed a concierge service, becomes a characterizing element of the project, an axis that connects and highlights the different heights of the buildings, the meeting point between the distinct building fabrics, the place of demarcation where the design intention is made explicit, as well as being the path that reaches and connects all the built portions up to the large staircase that on the bottom of the lot descends to a large common space left to the community. The volumes that make up the building complex are rather simple, characterized by a light gray monochromatic choice of all its components, i.e., plaster, door and window frames, shutters, thresholds, flooring, metal parts and roofing with the exception of the large connecting pathway that from the main entrance to the staircase at the bottom of the lot is, by contrast, a deep yellow color. Once again, this choice reaffirms a specific intention, reinforces the project and its perception for the community.
