Recupero di sottotetto di due edifici della fine degli anni ’30 collocati all’interno del quartiere antistante la vecchia Fiera di Milano, dove oggi sorge il grande intervento residenziale di City Life e dove gli edifici dell’architetto Zaha Hadid fanno da sfondo ad una edilizia spesso minuta e di qualità a destinazione prevalentemente residenziale. La copertura a due falde viene demolita e sostituita da un tetto piano, che permette all’interno la creazione di ambienti con altezza costante Si presenta su strada con facciate che ripeteno la simmetria della composizione sottostante; in parte in intonaco con arretramenti in laterizio e in parte in mattoni paramano, anche per realizzare i frangisole delle finestre contribuendo a dare unitarietà al nuovo volume, quasi in analogia e a memoria della precedente copertura in coppi.

Restoration of the attic of two buildings from the late Thirties set inside the neighbourhood facing the old Fiera di Milano, where today stands the great residential City Life complex and where architect Zaha Hadid’s buildings are the background to often minute and high-quality edifices, mainly for residential use. The two-pitch roofing is replaced with a flat roof, which allows the creation of equally high-ceilinged rooms inside. It overlooks the road with facades that repeat the symmetry of the underlying composition; partly in plaster and partly in bricks, also for the realisation of the window blinds, thus making the new volume homogeneous, so similar to the previous roof tiles.
